Composition
During her bachelor studies at BIMM Berlin Svenný learned how to compose music for media among other musicianship skills. Svenný can arrange and compose for orchestral instruments and produce recordings of smaller ensembles or program virtual instruments. Svenný blends electronic and orchestral elements in her compositions leading to a dramatic and otherworldly soundscape perfect for film scores and other media. An excellent pianist and singer, Svenný can also scale down her compositions into intimate and understated background soundscapes.
Film sores were what originally got Svenný interested in music as a young child. Always a lover of film, she was fascinated by how much depth and emotion scores could add to scenes. Recently she composed music for the 1902 classic “A Trip to The Moon” which is a silent film by legendary filmmaker Georges Mélies. The score was made for a school project which required foley and dialogue as well, so she recorded dialogue and some foley, and arranged more foley samples to bring out the sound of the film. The film is quite whimsical so it is not what Svenný would usually compose for but she has been experimenting with more whistful and jolly sounds. It is a very silly composition, made even more ridiculous with the added dialogue but Svenný is working on arranging and mixing the sound better and this video will soon be updated to a more professional standard.
